The common good economy establishes an ethical economic model. As an alternative to the current understanding of the economy, it is based on the values of human dignity, ecological responsibility, solidarity, social justice, democratic co-determination and transparency.<\/p>\n
The well-being of people and the environment becomes the primary goal of economic activity.<\/strong><\/p>\nAt regular intervals, we draw up a common good balance sheet that quantitatively measures our efforts to work for a better world. We prepared the last common good balance sheet in 2022 and achieved a common good score of 322 points.<\/p>\n

In addition to that society is currently emitting more greenhouse gas than our planet can cope with.<\/p>\n
That is why we as ENGL have been pursuing a greenhouse gas reduction strategy for many years now. We measure our CO2 footprint annually and derive reduction targets from this, for which we define specific reduction measures and monitor them regularly.<\/p>\n
We offset 100% of the proportion that we cannot yet avoid through audited projects that save CO2 elsewhere.<\/p>\n
When calculating CO2 emissions, we rely on a professional service provider to whom we grant full access to internal data in order to calculate a precise CO2 footprint.<\/p>\n

Fascinated by these circumstances, we have set up beehives on our company terrace and lovingly look after them. \u201eBienenbau\u201d is german and stands for beekeeping. With dedication and passion, we try to give our bees the best possible situation to make them feel comfortable.<\/p>\n
Thanks to this measure, we have managed to raise the proportion of women in our company from one employee to over 80,000 in a very short period of time \ud83d\ude0a.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
